J.D. Dillard and ‘Luke Cage’ writer Matt Owens have reportedly been tapped to develop a new Star Wars Project. This news comes to us via The Hollywood Reporter. There is no information on whether or not this will be a project that leads to theatrical release or directly to Disney +.
We’ve all been wondering what’s next for Star Wars, especially since the Skywalker saga has come to an end. They have The Mandalorian, the Obi-Wan series and the prequel to Rogue One, Cassian Andor. Along with a continuation of Star Wars Rebels now on Disney + there is a lot of media that we can take in if we really wanted to do a Star Wars deep dive.
That leads us to the question, what could this possibly be about? What aspect of the Star Wars universe will be covered in this upcoming project. Well unfortunately that’s all being kept under wraps for now, but we expect that soon that an announcement will be made. The only thing we do know is that this project from Dillard is completely unrelated to the project that Rian Johnson is currently working on with Kevin Feige.
