Petition To Remove Amber Heard From ‘Aquaman’ Reaches 100k Signatures

Amber Heard is currently in a nasty legal battle with Johnny Depp. This battle is the same one that was the cause of him essentially getting kicked off Disney’s good side and being taken off of the Pirates movies. The issue of domestic abuse is never completely black and white and unfortunately while Johnny was seen in a video going on a rampage we weren’t then aware of what Amber was doing to bait him behind the scenes. In a new Audio clip you can hear her telling Johnny that she “couldn’t promise she won’t hit him again’. The Daily Mail uncovered the exclusive audio which went on to say that she not only hit him but pelted him with pots, pans and vases. Now the change.org petition is soaring with signatures with people who would like to see her removed from Aquaman just like Johnny had been removed from the Pirates franchise.

    The Change.org petition states:

Amber Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser by Johnny Depp. In his $50 million lawsuit, Johnny Depp describes many incidents of domestic abuse that he suffered at the hands of his (then) wife Amber Heard, including one incident where she punched him twice in the face and another where she shattered his finger with a vodka bottle, and his finger had to be surgically reattached. He will bear the scar from that for the rest of his life.

Also, Amber Heard was arrested in 2009 for abusing a former domestic partner, Tasya Van Ree, demonstrating a repeated pattern of abuse by Amber Heard.

So far at the time of this writing the petition has over 130k signatures and it is growing every second.

This case is a complicated one. Johnny and Amber are toxic for eachother that much is true. But does that mean that she must be removed from Aquaman? Is it a case of karma from getting Johnny taken off of Pirates? This is what happens when you drag things out into the public eye to spite your partner. It’s not something that we can decide and it’s really not something we should be a part of. There shouldn’t be any type of vote for ruining Johnny or ruining Amber. It’s all just a complicated mess.

What do you think of all this? Tell us in the comments.
