People! This is not a drill! My Chemical Romance has announced their reunion tour. I feel my inner emo soul coming out with just a glimpse of hope that I might be able to see them.
My Chemical Romance has been teasing us on social media with random videos since yesterday. They started a live stream at 8:35 am. The video featuring music composed by guitarist Ray Toro and keyboardist Jamie Muhoberac and directed by Kris Mercado. This visual begins with a young man lacing his shoes and making a cup of coffee before beginning to playing with an ouija board. He is then summoned into a realm filled with images and references from MCR’s history and discography.
The comeback tour will be going for two months and begin in Detroit on September 9th. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, January 31st at 12 pm PST on Ticketmaster.
In October 2019, the band announced their first live performance since the band had split in 2013. Since the first announcement, there have been a series of other appearances around the world. The band has also teased new music in a video clip titled “An Offering.” The bands last album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys was 20 years ago. So there might be some hope for a new album in the works, but no news of it yet. My Chemical Romance has definitely been keeping very secretive about everything.
