Disney’s California Adventure is Getting a New Halloween Event!

For years, Disney Parks have been the golden standard for holiday themed parties and they know how to keep the crowds flocking back, year after year. This year, Disney is trying something new with their California theme parks. The Halloween party is moving from Disneyland over to Disney’s California Adventure and it’s getting a major overhaul.

Oogie Boogie Bash will begin in September and will still be family friendly, but with a little more excitement for teens and adults too. Part of the extra intensity is: alcohol will be sold openly! That’s right, parents can indulge a little while the kids get their trick or treat on.

Costumes will still be allowed, as per usual, and there will be more activities than ever! There will be an exclusive show starring four of the Fab Five called Mickey’s Trick and Treat, all new character meet and greets, new treat trails, a Descendants themed dance party called DescenDANCE (cuuute), and even a villains themed World of Color called Villainous!

    Villainous!

You’ll also, of course, see the usual Halloween decor and themed treats, along with some new digital projections and Guardians of the Galaxy Mission BREAKOUT! Monsters After Dark will be returning this year.

Oogie Boogie Bash will be a separate ticket event, meaning you have to have a ticket specifically for this event, even if you’ve already been to the parks that day, and will run on select nights from September 17 – October 31. Tickets are expected to cost between $110 – $145.
