According to a very reputable source we lost one of our favorite stars in 2011. Someone who was not included on the reel of stars that year. Someone that would be missed and someone who no one wrote an obituary for. Unfortunately years went by and before we knew it we were here in 2019 when we caught wind of the news of her passing.

The Velociraptor from Jurassic park was one of the single most important characters from the film. She is who made the movie seem more high stakes. Always learning she would adapt her scenes and often ad lib movements into the story. Though she could only scream she was highly intelligent, you could tell from her eyes she knew exactly what was going on at any given moment.

“That kitchen scene for the movie was all her idea. I couldn’t have made the film without her. She was a team player and had so many great ideas we used in the movie. She will be missed greatly in the acting community.”
-Spielberg

She inspired me personally to learn more about dinosaurs when I was 7. Never scared of the creature but always intrigued I collected her action figures. My brother even had the bedding set I coveted.

She paved the way for other dinosaurs in the industry such as the cast of “We’re Back a Dinosaur Story,” which would premiere in november of 1993. Just three months after her own film would have debuted in June. She was an ally to the gay community and to honor her she was the inspiration for the movie “Velociraptor,” which came out in 2014. “Velociraptor” was the story about two boys sexual awakening. The official synopsis was: Two friends walk around the city one afternoon, on the verge of imminent Apocalypse. She would have been proud of this film.
