Hayao Miyazaki & Son Working on Two New Movies

It seems every time that Miyazaki says “this is the last” is just a rouse at this point. Miyazaki is returning to studio Ghibli to work on yet another project of his own while his son works on his own film.

This news comes from Vincent Maraval who has worked very closely with Miyazaki in the past.

Je peux témoigner, miyazaki pere et fils sont au travail. 2 nouvelles productions des studios ghibli sont en cours et les dessins sont in-cro-ya-bles ! Tres grosse emotion

    — VINCENT MARAVAL ?? (@MARAVALV) January 21, 2019

The translation for the tweet is, ” I can testify, miyazaki father and son are at work. 2 new productions of the ghibli studios are in progress and the drawings are in-cro-ya-ble! Very big emotion.”

This tweet would signify that he is working on a movie other than the most recent How Do You Live, which was announced back in 2017. These new movies are still nameless and there is no other information regarding them at this time.

Hayao Miyazaki is responsible for such Ghibli films as Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa, My Neighbor Totoro and many more. His work stands the test of time and there is no comparison between his work and any other body of work out there.
