This coming Tuesday, May 8th, Dr. Weller will be doing a lecture at Cerritos College.

Dr. Peter Weller is known throughout the fandom community as the actor who portrayed Robocop. He has been in over 70 TV films and movies including the History Channel series Engineering an Empire. He attained his PHD in Fine arts with a focus on the Italian Renaissance and Fine Arts from UCLA in 2014.

His lecture on Tuesday will focus on Donatello’s David and Homo Eroticism in Renaissance art. The piece was commissioned by the Medici family in the 1430’s and would decorate their courtyard for many years.

If you should go to this it is to be noted that Dr. Weller takes this very seriously. He would not want to talk about his time as an actor. So please only consider going if you are genuinely interested in the lecture itself. Please be respectful that his acting was merely a way for him to pay for his passion of art history.
