Often listed as one of the most iconic actors of his generation, Harrison Ford is embarking on a new adventure. No, not the 5th “Indiana Jones” film- although yes, that *is* on the way. Also no, not “Yellowstone” prequel series “1923” which he co-stars with Helen Mirren (which is on Paramount+ now). We’re talking about his unlikely addition to Marvel Studios’ upcoming film slate.”Harrison Ford, we couldn’t be more excited,” “Captain America 4” producer Nate Moore teased of Ford’s involvement. “Obviously, when you have Han Solo or Indiana Jones involved in your movie, it just raises the game. So, we’re…

Elon Musk, polarizing figure, has decided to poll Twitter with a fairly topical and important question. Should he, step down as the head of the company? He swears he’ll “abide by the results” of the poll. This is most likely a ploy, but it would be pretty great if everyone voted yes, and he did it. The final results, with 17,502,391 votes, was 57.5% yes, to 42.5% no. No comments from Musk yet, but we’re sure that’ll change soon.
This just in-Donald Glover is FINALLY, really and for true, joining the Spider-Man universe. (Yes, we know he appeared in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” in a cameo as Aaron Davis, theoretically Miles Morales’ Uncle Aaron.) While it’s not quite what we were all anticipating, it will be a project set within the web. Glover will star in and executivie produce the project, which will bring a really obscure Spider-Man character to the forefront: Hypno-Hustler. Myles Murphy, son of Eddie Murphy, will pen the script. Not really a main character or anything, Hypno-Hustler first appeared in the Spider-Man comics in 1978. Leader of…
Audiences were surprised by the official teaser for both “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” on opening night showings of “Avatar: The Way of Water.” Three-time Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig directs, with stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, respectively. We kinda really love the amount of detail there in all the Barbie Dream Houses in the pink land. Also, the “Zoolander” vibe of Ken and co. We also know Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Rhea Perlman, and actor/director Emerald Fennell are on cast, as well as new “Doctor Who” Ncuti Gatwa! While the poster says “summer 2023,” “Barbie” will hit theaters…
This entire DC Studios thing just keeps getting weirder and weirder. After already confirming a “Man of Steel 2” was on the way, it would appear that is no longer the case. James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios along with Peter Safran, is apparently penning a brand new “Superman” film, WITHOUT Henry Cavill. Gunn does say he had a meeting with Cavill about working together in the future, but this current script will be about Superman at an earlier stage in life. So, another recasting. Cavill has since commented on the situation on his Instagram. Ok we did think of…
BOY. Amazon has OFFICIALLY ordered a live-action series adaptation of Santa Monica Studio’s popular “God of War” game franchise. This has been in the works for some time, and this morning, the streaming studio confirmed the greenlight. Rafe Judkins (“The Wheel of Time”) will showrun. Mark Fergus (“Iron Man”) and Hawk Ostby (“The Expanse”) will write and produce the show. And yes, Cory Barlog will be involved as an executive producer. “The series follows Kratos, the God of War, who, after exiling himself from his blood-soaked past in ancient Greece, hangs up his weapons forever in the Norse realm of…
It’s Wednesday, and that means we’ve had a few days of baseless rumors making the rounds from tinsel town. Normally, these are “sourced” stories from certain “outlets” making inflammatory claims about casting, news, and other choice subjects. Variety, usually one of the leaders in the entertainment journalism industry, ran a lede DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has refuted as false. “A well-placed source says Gunn and Safran are exploring the possibility of incorporating filmmaker Matt Reeves’ iteration of Batman with actor Robert Pattinson into their wider universe,” the story claims. Gunn, as he often does (bless him), took to Twitter to…

A couple of things from filmmaker Patty Jenkins, in her own words. We all recently learned about the newly created arm of Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios’ decision to cancel Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman 3.” Whether it was a decision of the WB side, or the co-CEOs of DC Studios is still to be determined. What has been clarified tis whether or not Patty, as some unscrupulous outlets reported, “stormed off” from the meetings, or “rage quit,” or any of the other numerous choice phrases used to describe the situation. Jenkins posted her full thoughts on the subject, including an update…
