Sideshow Collectables and Hot Toys are celebrating Mandalorian warrior and graffiti artist Sabine Wren with her own sixth-scale figure. Wren is known for her creative, rebellious spirit and is independent by nature. During the age of the Empire, she defected from the Imperial Academy of Mandalore and joined a small rebel cell. Burbank, California has officially declared September 24th “Tim Burton Day,” to celebrate the iconic filmmaker. Burton will be returning to his hometown to accept the honor, as well as attend the 15th annual Awards Gala of the Burbank International Film Festival (BIFF). Which will be hosted at the Burbank Marriott Convention Center this year. Last year the BIFF gave the first-ever “Tim Burton Visionary Award” to director Alessandro Gentile for his film “Lodo.” The honor is for directors who grew up in or are currently living in Burbank who show unique visions and styles. CBS’ talk show “The Drew Barrymore Show” will return without writers despite to the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike. This came as a bit of a shock considering the host took a very pro-union stance when the strike began in May. “Everything we celebrate and honor about movies and television is born out of their creation,” Barrymore said. NASA’s first experiment to produce oxygen on another planet is a success! A microwave-size device called MOXIE (Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment) on the Perseverance rover has successfully created oxygen on the red planet. This experiment started out a little over two years ago when the rover landed on Mars. Since then MOXIE has produced 122 grams of oxygen, equal to what a small dog breathes in 10 hours. At one point MOXIE even turned out 12 grams of oxygen at 98% purity, in an hour. This is twice as much as NASA originally expected from the device. August…

Next year marks the 35th anniversary of Tim Burton’s “Batman” (1989). DC Comics and Warner Bros. Pictures is celebrating with screenings of the film backed by a live orchestra. This will be the first addition to the planned DC in Concert series. In this series of anniversary screenings, audiences will watch “Batman” starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson, while a live symphony performs Danny Elfman’s score for the film. 7-year-old Aspen Brown has found the second largest diamond recorded this year at an Arkansas state park. It was found while she was visiting Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfeesboro with her family to celebrate her birthday.  The stone is a 2.95 golden brown-carat diamond which is one heck of a birthday present. So far this year the only diamond larger than Brown’s was found in March. That gem is also brown but weighs about 3.29 carats. Horror legend George A. Romero is probably best known for his “Living Dead” series, which spawned from the landmark film “Night of The Living Dead.” Unfortunately, Romero was not able to shoot the last film in the franchise, “Twilight of the Dead,” before he passed away in 2017. Scientists are baffled by the discovery of a “golden egg” that was found while exploring the bottom of the ocean. The perplexing object was gahtered 250 miles off the coast of Alaska, by marine biologists onboard a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) boat. These researchers were using special equipment to look at an extinct underwater volcano in the area. When they made the strange discovery of the golden egg-shaped object, they used a remotely operated vehicle to nudge it. Only to discover the egg was soft with a texture that somewhat resembles skin.
