Get ready because today we got our first look at the upcoming film “Coming 2 America.” Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi (Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began.

We’ll be seeing Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, Shari Headley, John Amos and Louie Anderson take on all their prior roles.
Directed by Craig Brewer, the film has a screenplay by Kenya Barris and Barry W. Blaustein & David Sheffield. Barry W. Blaustein & David Sheffield and Justin Kanew wrote the story, based off the characters originally created by Eddie Murphy.
The film is Produced by Kevin Misher and Murphy, and Executive Produced by Brian Oliver, Bradley Fischer, Valerii An, Kenya Barris, Charisse Hewitt-Webster, Michele Imperato Stabile and Andy Berman.
Costumes by “Black Panther” Oscar winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter, who also did the original film.
“Coming 2 America” will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 5th, 2021.
