Jason Momoa Will Play Vampire to Peter Dinklage’s Van Helsing in “Good Bad & Undead”

While this isn’t the buddy film we were hoping for from Jason Momoa and Emmy winner Peter Dinklage, it sure sounds….like something. Imagine if you will, Momoa as a vampire and Dinklage as Van Helsing. Got it? Because that’s what we’re getting in “Good Bad & Undead.”

Dinklage will play Van Helsing, last in a long line of vampire hunters. He develops an uneasy partnership with a vampire (Momoa) who has taken a vow never to kill again. Together they run a scam from town to town, where Van Helsing pretends to vanquish the vampire for money. But when a massive bounty is put on the vampire’s head, everything in this dangerous world full of monsters and magic is now after them.

Max Barbakow (who’s last film set a new Sundance record with the $22 million “Palm Springs” deal between Neon and Hulu) is directing.

The writing team of Mark Swift and Damian Shannon (“Friday the 13th,” “Freddy vs. Jason“) are tackling the script.

There is no studio attached to this project yet, but we’ll let you know what we hear.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
