Green Day Partners Up With NHL For Release Of New Song

Do you like Green Day? How about hockey? The sport is basically one big mosh pit on ice where a point system has been implemented. Well if you’ve answered yes to both of those questions get ready to have your day made.

So Green Day has a new album called Father Of All Motherf$&kers, set for release on February 7th 2020. They announced it two weeks ago along with the Hella Mega Tour which will put them on a stadium tour with Weezer and Fall Out Boy set to begin summer next year. The band also dropped the official video for their latest single “Father Of All” that you can check out below.

So yeah… pretty busy couple weeks for Green Day.

The band’s latest activity brings them to an unlikely partnership with the NHL. According to Spin.com via Billboard, Green Day will debut a new song during the telecast of the New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers game on October 9th. The track “Fire, Ready, Aim” is set to play alongside a hockey hype video featuring the current stars of the sport.

You can see all this on NBCSN, or wait until the next day and watch it online.

Green Day is slated to perform at the NHL All-Star Game on June 25th, 2020 and as the release date for the new album gets closer, I’m sure there will be a whole fresh set of random promotions and appearances Billie Joe and company can get wrapped up with.

Remember to shift your attention to the NHL on October 9th for the debut of Green Day’s new potential chart topping hit.
