Miami, FL — Stepping back into the spotlight, producer and creative visionary The1nonlyshay returns with a new sonic statement: “STARWAVE Riddim.” Blending the foundation of traditional dancehall with her signature genre-bending approach, the project signals both a personal evolution and a deeper cultural connection.

Following the positive reception of her debut project Naked Frequencies, Shay enters this release with a renewed sense of purpose, less focused on proving herself, and more focused on impact.

“I was just trying to tap into Jamaican culture on a deeper level, and get my sound heard,” she explains.

At its core, STARWAVE Riddim is more than just an instrumental,it’s an open invitation. Rooted in the classic dancehall riddim tradition, the project encourages multiple artists to voice the same production, creating a shared musical experience that thrives on diversity, creativity, and community.

“I’m looking at this riddim as a sort of bridge,” Shay says. “I want this riddim to help create and build on relationships with artists and hopefully create a strong network for future projects.”

With a clear “no gatekeeping” philosophy, Shay is positioning STARWAVE as a collaborative platform, one that welcomes both emerging and established artists to contribute, connect, and expand their reach.

Sonically, the riddim balances nostalgia with forward-thinking production, offering a soundscape that feels familiar yet fresh. Designed to resonate both in the streets and across global playlists.

As anticipation builds, STARWAVE Riddim is already generating early interest from artists eager to put their own stamp on the track, hinting at a wave of releases to follow
