Do you remember when we would all head over to our friends house who had the N64 and sit around for hours playing Tony Hawk‘s Pro Skater. Those were the days that seem like forever ago but still live on in our minds as one of the best times we’ve ever had. To build on that nostalgia someone just built a Tony Hawk Lego set up that you can actually play. And it’s just as amazing as it sounds.
Relive the 1999 classic Tony Hawk Pro Skater video game in this fully playable skateboard experience a late-90’s TV!
You’ll use Tech-Deck / fingerboard controls to tilt your skater forward and backward and move side to side, even doing flips and grinding on rails! A counterweight allows you to catch serious air, just like in the game. LED’s provide ample light for the inside of the TV set. You can even design your own course!
I built this out of my passion for playability as a key feature in LEGO sets. I believe that this model’s immersive experience, with visual and tactile feedback, will make it a unique and excellent addition to the LEGO Ideas line.
