I remember when I worked at Hollywood Video that one of the most rented movies was Big Trouble in Little China. With it’s kooky mix of action, fantasy and martial arts the film is one of John Carpenter‘s best movies.
Kurt Russel plays the hero Jack Burton. He’s a truck driver that gets pulled into the weirdest supernatural battle in San Francisco’s Chinatown. What starts out as just helping a friend quickly spirals into ancient scorcerers, underground magical realms, martial arts warriors and a centuries old villain named Lo Pan. It’s honstly amazing that Screen Junkies took so long to touch on this film with their iconic Honest Trailers.
People absolutely LOVE this film. It’s weird and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Which is why this new Honest Trailer works so well. It’s a long one too, over six minutes. Probably because there’s just so much to laugh about while explaining what this movie is.
