    Best 6 day in Morocco itinerary:

    Morocco is a wonderful country located in the north of Morocco, it is famously known for its strategic location making it an ideal destination for visitors coming from Europe. Morocco is country where history, culture, and natural beauty come together in an unforgettable way. This blog will cover the finest 6 days tour itinerary that enables you to explore Morocco.

    This fantastic itinerary allows visitors to explore Morocco’s vibrant cities including imperial cities of Fes, Marrakech, and Meknes as well as the Sahara Desert of Merzouga and the Blue city of Chefchaouen.  In addition to that, This tour allows visitors to explore Morocco’s rich culture and traditions.     6 days in Morocco Itinerary:

    Day 1 : Explore Marrakech with a local tour guide:

    In the morning, you’ll be picked up from your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech then start your guided tour of the city with a local tour guide.  You’ll first start your tour with a visit to Koutoubia Mosque, second largest Mosque in Morocco, explore its lovely architecture and designs. Following that, you’ll visit Saadian Tombs, one of the ancient monument in Marrakech. Next, stroll through the Jemaa el-Fnaa square filled with storytellers, musicians, and food vendors as evening approaches. The maze-like souks offer everything from spices and carpets to handcrafted lanterns and leather goods. Late afternoon, stroll through the vibrant souks of Marrakech before being transferred to your accommodation where you’ll spend the night.

    Day 2: Cross the High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorges :

    In the morning, depart from Marrakech and head toward Dades Gorges, enjoying the lovely sceneries along the way. You will pass through the High Atlas Mountains, enjoying the finest sceneries along the way. Arriving at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site and best place for filmmakers where many movies have been filmed like Gladiator, Game of Thrones and The Mummy. Following that, we’ll drive through the rocky desert to arrive in Ouarzazate, famously known as Hollywoord of Africa, where you’ll visit Taourirt kasbah and Film Studio.

    Next, drive through the marvelous landscapes along the way. You will pass through Skoura oasis, one of the largest oasis in the region. Afterward,  visit Ameridile kasbah, one of the famous kasbahs in the region then continue toward Dades Gorges marveling the amazing sceneries along the way. Stop in Kalaat M’gouna known as the Rose city where you’ll explore a local cooperative for rose cosmetic products. Late afternoon, arrive in Dades Gorges where you’ll visit the famous rock formation known as Monkey Fingers and the winding road of Tisadrine before taking you to your accommodation where you will spend the night

    Day 3: Drive through Tighir oasis to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga:

    In the morning, depart toward the Sahara desert of Merzouga admiring the amazing sceneries along the way, you will stop at Todra Gorges, one of Morocco’s lovely gorges with height of 320 meters. Wander through these lovely gorges. After lunch at a local restaurant in the heart of Gorges, proceed to the Sahara desert of Merzouga enjoying the finest sceneries along the way.  Following that,  your journey continues toward the golden dunes of Merzouga.  Passing through the oasis of Tafilalet where you will feel the beginning of the Sahara oasis. Upon arrival in the Sahara Desert of Merzouga, you’ll meet your local tour guide and set off on a camel ride through the golden dunes of Merzouga. Stopping for a breathtaking sunset and then continue to your desert camp where you’ll spend the night with a drumming party around the campfire.

    Day 4: Pass through Tizi N Talghamt – Cedar Forest – Fes :

    Wake up for a lovely sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga then return to the camp for breakfast. Following that, depart toward the imperial city of Fes passing through the black desert enjoying the incredible sceneries along the way.  Stopping in Erfoud known as ‘’ The  Date Capital’’ explore the city before heading toward Aoufous where you’ll visit one of the largest oasis in the region. Next, continue through the middle Atlas Mountains enjoying the wonderful landscapes along the way. You will stop at Tizi N Talghamt where you’ll take some photographs over Atlas Mountains then continue to Cedar Forest, Morocco’s largest Forest. After that, pass through Ifrane, known as Morocco’s little Switzerland then continue to Fes.

    Day 5:  Enjoy a guided tour of Fes :

    In the morning, start your guided tour of Fes visiting Al Qaraouine  University world’s oldest university and UNESCO world heritage site. Following that, proceed to Attarine and Bou aanania Madrasa, one of the oldest Qoranic schools in Fes. You’ll then wander through the lively streets of the old Medina of Fes. Next, visit Moulay Idriss I  Mausoleum, the founder of the city. After that, explore Tanneries where animal leather is used to make clothes, bags, and shoes. Following that, head to Borj Nord where you will see the whole Medina of Fes, overnight at your accommodation.

    Day 6 :  Depart from Fes – Chefchaouen – Tangier :

    Leave Fes and head toward the blue city of Chefchaouen admiring the amazing landscapes along the way, pass through breathtaking landscapes. Stopping at Volubilis, the best preserved Roman ruins and UNESCO world heritage site where you can enjoy a guided tour of the city. Following that, you’ll cross the Riff Mountains enjoying the natural landscapes along the way. Arriving in Chefchaouen, enjoy a guided tour of the city visiting the old Medina, stroll through its lovely blue streets and then explore the Spanish Mosque, and Ras Lma waterfall before heading toward Tangier taking the amazing landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Tangier, you will be transferred to your accommodation or the airport concluding your trip with amazing memories and stories.

    Conclusion:

    The 6 days Morocco itinerary from Marrakech to Tangier is worth it allowing visitors to experience Morocco’s famous landscapes and historic attractions from its imperial cities, Atlas Mountains, Deserts and blue city. In addition to that, you’ll immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and tradition of Morocco.
