It’s been awhile, but it sounds like the Robert Pattinson-led sequel to “The Batman” is getting closer to cameras rolling. This of course means casting news, and today’s is interesting indeed.
Scarlett Johansson is reportedly in talks to join the film, but in what role, we’re not sure.

Current theories, based on things writer/director Matt Reeves has said about the direction of the film, is that Johansson may be playing Andrea Beaumont, a character from Bruce Wayne’s past. We don’t want to spoil her story for anyone who HASN’T seen the incredible animated feature “Batman: Mask of the Phantasm,” but holy crap that would be amazing. The “Black Widow” star certainly has the fight training for the part, that’s for sure.

Additional chatter claims Emma Stone already turned down whatever part Johansson is being offered.
We are sad to report it seems Zoë Kravitz will not be returning as Selina Kyle for this sequel.
We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news. “The Batman 2” is currently slated to release October 1st, 2027.
