The FluidStance Level Balance Board is a Game Changer for Focus in the Office

FluidStance’s Level Balance Board for Standing Desks is an one addition to your standing desk set up you didn’t know you needed. Having a standing desk is already great for posture, but including this truly changes the way you focus on your work and how your body holds itself.

From the moment I placed the board in front of my standing desk and stepped on it my focus was immediately better. For someone with ADHD this type of movement is gladly appreciated since tapping feet is not likely at a standing desk. For me anyway, that’s more of a sitting thing. The deck remained firmly stable and allowed multidirectional movements like rocking forward/back, side to side, even gentle rotation.

One thing that I have to do is physical therapy for a bad posture and back. It’s funny because since getting this board, I’ve seen progress for the areas I was given exercises by the physical therapist for. Like lower back pain for instance. The motions that you do consciously and unconsciously on this board help strengthen your core without you even realizing. These motions engage your ankles, calves, and core in a way that traditional standing cannot.

By activating stabilizer muscles and keeping subtle movement going, it’s easier to remain upright, alert, and comfortable for longer stretches. I found that my lower back felt less stiff and my hips less locked compared to when I stood on a standard anti-fatigue mat.

Focus is an improvement with this board. Mainly because you’re maintaining balance without having to use your brain. Your body automatically stays more engaged and is less prone slump which can occur if you’re just standing still for long periods of time. The gentle motion helps you sustain attention and reduce discomfort that normally distracts during long hours.

The build quality reinforces why this is a worthwhile investment. The Level Balance Board is ultra-sturdy and the aluminum base does not wear or distort with regular use. This is important because you want to feel like you’re standing on something you’re not going to break. This is a quality product and not something that feels unstable or cheap.

If you’re committed to a standing desk setup and want more from it than just “standing still,” the Level Balance Board offers countless benefits. Better posture, more dynamic movement, improved focus, and a premium build that feels like you won’t break it. This board has now become a part of how I function at work and I wouldn’t want to go back to standing still again. I fully recommend this for anyone who has a standing desk and especially for those that are neurodivergent and need some type of stimulation to keep on track.
