World Premiere! Midea Intrinity Fan Debuts at IFA 2025

In September 2025, the global consumer electronics industry once again turned its attention to Berlin. At the annual IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin), Midea Group held the world premiere of its revolutionary product, the Intrinity Fan series of smart fans. This launch not only represents Midea’s major highlight of the year but is also regarded as the starting point for a new era in the fan industry.

As the first smart fan in the industry to adopt Mobius Strip Blade Technology, the Intrinity Fan delivers a fundamentally different aerodynamic experience. The ring-shaped blades create a seamless airflow transition, greatly reducing energy loss and enhancing overall efficiency. Experimental data show that its airflow efficiency exceeds that of traditional fans by more than 25%. At the same time, its 19-decibel operating noise is quieter than typical library environments, earning it the distinction of ushering in the “true era of silent airflow.” At the same time, the fan achieves an impressive 15-meter long-distance airflow, fully covering large open-plan apartments, living rooms, and even small conference rooms.

The project has taken three years of development, with total investment exceeding €20 million, bringing together experts in aerodynamics, materials science, acoustic engineering, and electronic control systems. The R&D team not only redesigned the blades but also systematically reconstructed the motor drive system, airflow guidance structures, and vibration control technology. Midea’s R&D director stated: “We are fundamentally redefining the way air flows.”

As part of the global debut, Midea set up an immersive experience zone at IFA, allowing visitors to experience the fan’s ultra-low noise in a quiet environment and feel the long-distance airflow from afar.

Beyond technological innovation, the Intrinity Fan emphasizes sustainability and environmental responsibility. Midea announced that, alongside the product launch, it will partner with environmental organizations across Europe and Asia to implement a “Used Fan Recycling Program”, reducing electronic waste through collection and reuse. Additionally, all packaging uses fully recyclable materials, which is expected to reduce plastic usage by more than 500 tons annually.

Industry observers note that Midea’s decision to launch at IFA 2025 is a strategically significant move. As the world’s most influential consumer electronics exhibition, IFA attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors and extensive media coverage every year. Launching on this stage enables the Intrinity Fan to achieve rapid global recognition.

As the home market increasingly moves toward a “comfort + energy efficiency” era, traditional fans can no longer meet user demands. The Intrinity Fan not only revitalizes this common household appliance but also marks the shift of Chinese home appliance companies from followers to industry leaders.

The series is scheduled to launch in Europe, North America, and Asia in the fourth quarter of 2025. Industry analysts widely anticipate that the Intrinity Fan will become one of the most anticipated home appliances of the year, driving the global fan industry into a new development cycle.
