We talk a lot about Frank Herbert‘s seminal work of science fiction “Dune.” There’s a reason for that. It inspired countless other process across literature, film, television, music, and even video games. It is an enduring tale that seems to catch the attention of each new generation.
If you’ve never read the series, now may be the time.
You can currently get all 6 Herbert novels- Dune, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune, God Emperor of Dune, Heretics of Dune, and Chapterhouse: Dune- in a set from Amazon for a great deal. Maybe re-read Messiah if you haven’t in awhile, to get ready for Denis Villeneuve‘s possible upcoming third film.
David Lynch‘s classic 1984 version of “Dune” starring Kyle MacLachlan and Sean Young is available to stream on MAX, and the 4K is available here. While WE don’t care for it, for the sake of completion, you can get the complete SciFi Channel mini series from 2000 on blu-ray here. And, of course, Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part One” and “Dune: Part Two” also streaming on MAX, and on 4k here.
