Defeating bosses is one of the most fun and exciting aspects of Runescape. Going into an encounter and coming out victorious gives you a buzz like nothing else.
This post runs through the bosses in the game from easiest to hardest. We show you which bosses to challenge first and which you should wait to tackle until you become more established in the game.
Barrows Brothers
The Barrows Brothers are the easiest bosses in Old School Runescape. Even novice players can defeat this duo with limited equipment. In fact, the encounter is so simple that many players don’t consider them true bosses.
Giant Mole
Next up on the difficulty scale is Giant Mole, which you can find in Falador Park. Most players can solo this boss with Protect enabled and around 60 melee stat. There’s also a small 1 in 3,000 chance of him dropping a cute pet that follows you everywhere.
Chaos Elemental
Chaos Elemental represents a significant increase in difficulty level. This boss is not the most challenging enemy in the game, but it is often the first place players encounter real gameplay.
Ideally, you want to use the flinching method to kill this boss. This strategy involves hiding behind a tree, waiting for the creature’s HP bar to disappear, and attacking again.
Skilled players can bring down Chaos Elemental with 60 to 70 Attack and Strength. There’s a 1 in 256 chance the enemy will drop the powerful Dragon Pickaxe at the end of the encounter.
The Dagannoth Kings
The Dagannoth Kings are a hard fight solo, but you can bring them down quickly in a group of three where each player has a base of 70 Combat stats. However, you still need to understand the proper tactics.
Callisto
Callisto – a bear-like creature – is the next level up, and you can find him in and around level 40 Wilderness. To take on this boss, you need a team of two to four people with approximately 70 on melee combat stats and above 37 Prayer.
The main reason for attempting this boss is to receive the Tyrannical Ring, a powerful accessory with a 1 in 512 drop chance. He also drops a cute pet with a 1 in 2000 drop chance.
The Kalphite Queen
Next up is the Kalphite Queen. She’s hard because of her accurate attack rate, which seems to hit with every blow.
We recommend you have 85 in Melee combat stats for this boss and use the Verac method, which is where you use the unique abilities of the Verac’s armor set. Corporeal Beast
Finally, we have the Corporeal Beast, widely regarded as the most formidable boss in the game. To defeat this enemy, you want a team with 85 strength and Defence and around five people. (If your party is larger, he will start healing himself to scale with your attack power).

TzKal-Zuk (Inferno)
While many players once thought the Corporeal Beast was the ultimate challenge, the release of the Inferno introduced a new level of difficulty.
