Ke Huy Quan’s “With Love” Adds Ariana DeBose, Daniel Wu

Action fans brace yourselves, Ke Huy Quan’s “With Love” is his theatrical follow up to “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” The film is stacking up to be a powerhouse of performance. It begins production this week, and has added fellow Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose, and reunited Quan with “American Born Chinese” co-star Daniel Wu.

“With Love” is being made by David Leitch and Kelly McCorkick’s 87North (who are responsible for films like the “John Wick” franchise and the upcoming “The Fall Guy”). It is being produced as part of their first look deal with Universal Pictures.

Taking the helm for the first time is Jonathan Eusebio, who has spent much of his career as a 2nd unit director and veteran of the stunt community. His most recent work includes “Violent Night” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Luke Passmore is writing based on an original script from Josh Stoddard and Matthew Murray.

It presents an exciting opportunity for Quan to show off his leading man skills combined with his stunts background. During a break in his on-screen roles Quan served in stunt coordinator capacities (he was an assistant stunt coordinator on 2000’s “X-Men”). He also did the majority of his own stunt work on “Everything Everywhere All at Once”

DeBose is no stranger to physically taxing work as well, having just been seen in “Argylle” and next appearing in “Kraven the Hunter.” Combined with her dance background we have no doubt she’ll be a force on screen. Wu is also an expert performer with a physically demanding background. Most recently he played The Monkey King in “American Born Chinese,” and has had to kick ass and take names in roles in “Into the Badlands,” “Tomb Raider,” “Westworld,” and more.

To say we are eagerly awaiting “With Love” would be quite the understatement.
