according to THR who cites “sources,” actress Jenna Ortega (“Wednesday“) will NOT be returning for “Scream 7.”
The report indicates this decision was made “months” ago, and not a result of fellow “Scream” actress Melissa Barrera being fired from the Spyglass franchise.
HOWEVER, Deadline says the exit has to do with the shooting schedule for “Wednesday” season 2, and was actually decided before the (now-ended) SAG-AFTRA strike began.
Obviously this story is developing, and we’ll let you know what we hear…
