    • Animated logos remain in vogue. Modern specialists have learned to make them both interesting and beneficial for brands. Combining 2D and 3D animation is appropriate when the logo has multiple moving parts. Designers shouldn’t be afraid to play with details and create images of varying complexity. These methods not only help attract the attention of a brand’s potential audience but also convey a specific story.

The combination of 2D and 3D helps retain the viewer’s attention much longer than simple animations in logos. This is an excellent trend because every time you watch the animation, you can find something new in it. Designers enjoy working with animated details, as it is an engaging and entertaining activity. Additionally, you can use the transition from a simple moving image to a more complex one. Turbologo provides a convenient and cost-effective solution for anyone in need of a professionally designed logo.

There are reasons to believe that this trend will continue for a few more years. When the task is to create a logo for screens rather than print, designers have more opportunities to express themselves to the fullest.

    • 3D Gradients Three-dimensional gradients are gaining popularity. It’s a perfect solution for our society, where no one can imagine their life without a smartphone.

Designers love gradients because they add uniqueness and dynamism to any color scheme. Three-dimensional effects, especially conical gradients, serve as a foundation for logos, accentuating the contrast between colors. Logo design specialists note that conical gradients will continue to be widely used, as they have the ability to transform simple projects into complex ones.

Three-dimensional gradient logos look great on screens. They give designers a plethora of opportunities to play with colors, creating beautiful solutions with a modern and simple appearance. Novices are recommended to learn about depth, shadows, and 3D effects to develop relevant and useful logos for their clients.

    • Simplicity Simplification is not only a trend in logo design in 2022 but also an excellent solution for implementing various styles. The formula for simplicity is based on three pillars: practicality, comfort, and aesthetics.

Navigation through the design will be simple and consistent if you follow a logical order. The designer must know how to highlight essential information properly.

Another advantage of this approach is the opportunity to give the viewer’s eyes a break. Today, we are surrounded by too much information and unnecessary details, and simplicity helps soften these circumstances and suppress them.

Interestingly, the popular clothing brand “Zara” has been following this trend since 1975. In 2019, the company changed its logo, and as you can see, its decision remains relevant to this day.

It’s worth noting that the updated “Zara” logo sparked heated debates. Some argued that it gave the impression of disharmony and chaos due to the overlapping letters. More about this trend is discussed below.

While other brands standardize their logos, making them exact copies of each other, “Zara” stands out as a protest against dullness and uniformity, attracting additional attention to the brand.

    • Playing with Letters Overlapping letters, “breaking” their parts, incompleteness, and blank spaces in the lines—all these elements draw the viewer’s attention to the logo, but it is essential not to overdo it. The text must remain legible, and the viewers shouldn’t have to guess which brand they are dealing with. They should remember and recognize it the next time.

According to an analysis, in 30% of cases, business owners prefer only text in their logo, while in 65%, they prefer graphics and text. In 5% of cases, logos are developed in the form of emblems upon the client’s request. The next trend explores this further.

    • Emblems Simplicity also extends to emblems. This solution has been gaining popularity for many years and is increasingly used in corporate graphics. Minimalism has played a significant role in this direction. Emblems have become more accessible to viewers while retaining their detailing.

It’s important to understand that emblems carry a symbolic character. They can convey the brand’s idea and its secondary role concerning the sale of its services. If we look at the translation of the word “emblem” from Greek to Russian, we can see that it refers to a relief decoration. We often see emblems used by sports clubs and universities, where there’s a lot of graphics, intricate details, and colors.

The difference between logos and emblems lies in the fact that logos do not necessarily have to have a deep meaning because their goal is to be recognizable. As for emblems, designers can use a broader color palette, many images, and other details to express their intended meaning. All of this is necessary to convey the purpose for which it was created.
