Snoop Dogg is many things. A rapper, entrepreneur, business man. But it also turns out he’s also a pretty solid dude. In support of the writer’s strike, Snoop is postponing the upcoming joint concert with artist Wiz Khalifa. The 30th anniversary of “Doggystyle” was originally scheduled to take place June 27th and 28th at the historic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

“Due to the ongoing WGA strike and the DGA and SAG/AFTRA negotiations, we have decided to postpone the shows scheduled for June 27 and June 28 at the Hollywood Bowl,” Snoop said in a now deleted Instagram video. “We stand in solidarity with the unions and are hopeful that the AMPTP will negotiate fair deals as soon as possible and everybody can get back to work.”

Snoop has been outspoken about the strike going on before. A recent interview with the artist has gotten massive view on youtube. Snoop speaks up for writers and music artists about the disparity in pay through streaming platforms. And that the numbers don’t add up correctly in digital mediums. The video has been timestamped below.

As for the concert, it certainly sounds like one not to be missed. Produced by Dr. Dre and presented by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, Snoop guarantees a sick roster of old friends. All the while backed by the ReCollective Orchestra led by conductor Derrick Hodge. The concert will feature favorites like “Gin and Juice” and “What’s My Name,” as well as other hits throughout the rapper’s extensive career.
