HBO Max “Harry Potter” TV Series Will Cover all 7 Books

For years, Warner Bros. Pictures has tried to secure a television series for “Harry Potter.” Recent talks seem to be moving that dream into reality, moving forward as Warner Bros. Discovery and HBO Max become one entity. The HBO Max series wouldn’t be a spin-off. Rather it would cover all seven books, meaning HBO could stretch the series for a long time.

This news comes prior to April 12th, when WBD plans to hold a presentation for the public and investors. Likely sharing their plans for the merger moving forward. The amount of shows and projects axed under the guise of “saving money” has us suspicious. To say nothing of problematic author JK Rowling‘s war on the trans community continues to reach frustrating and astounding peaks. Enough so that a large portion of the “Harry Potter” fandom has tried to separate the author from the work in order to continue to enjoy the universe without acknowledging its creator.

Given the continual unrest in the Wizarding World fandom, this move seems in pretty poor taste. Especially since she-who-must-not-be-named will have creative involvement. Anyone wanting to find a way to tank the series right away? Rowling won’t be onboard as any kind of creative head, but she will be involved in some capacity.

We’ll let you know what we hear about this “Harry Potter” series and other news.
