Ezra Miller Pleads Guilty to Trespassing, Avoids Burglary Charges

Oh, Ezra Miller. There are few names in Hollywood that are so contentious while still actively being employed by a major studio. We’ve covered their controversies quite a bit, including accusations of burglary that took place in Vermont in May of 2022. Several bottles of alcohol were taken from the premises while the residents of the home were out. While Miller has other pending cases, this one has come to an end via a plea deal with the Bennington County Superior Criminal Court.

Miller will be pleading guilty to trespassing in connection with the May incident. The other charges at the time included two charges of burglary in an unoccupied dwelling, and petty larceny. Trespassing is the lesser of the three, and Miller is potentially facing a 90 day suspended sentence, and a $500 fine. It’s a slap on the wrist, and pales in comparison to some of the other situations Miller has gotten themselves into over the last couple of years.

In addition to this incident, Miller was also caught on video choking a woman in Iceland, and harassing people in a bar in Hawaii. There are far more serious allegations of child grooming that have been levied at Miller. While these are just allegations, they have resulted in a restraining order placed on the actor in connection with a 12-year old child. In other words, unarmed burglary may be the least offensive thing “The Flash” star has done over the last few years.

In August of 2022, Miller released a statement that they were going to be seeking treatment for an “intense crisis.” Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios have remained oddly quiet about the situation. Getting a burglary charge pled down to trespassing is just one less matter for them to worry about now. You’d think that given all the scandals though that when it comes to finding an actor to play The Flash that they could find someone Better Than Ezra.

“The Flash” still maintains a June 16th, 2023 release date.
