We are delighted to share the news that Cassandra Peterson, best known as Mistress of the Dark Elvira, has joined Rob Zombie‘s upcoming “The Munsters” film! Announced this morning by Zombie himself, Peterson joins the project in an unlikely role.
She’ll be playing Barbara Carr, the #1 real estate agent in all of Mockingbird Heights.
Jeff Daniel Phillips will play Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie will play Lily Munster, Catherine Schell will play Zoya Krupp, and Dan Roebuck will play Grandpa Munster.
Most of our information regarding the film has come from Zombie and his Instagram. This has included previous casting announcements, set design and locations, as well as the recent ratings reveal. Zombie’s previous films are kind of the exact opposite of family-friendly, which has raised no shortage of questions from “The Munsters” fans.
“For those of you speculating, wondering and assuming that THE MUNSTERS would be dirty, violent and nasty… well, you are wrong,” Zombie posted. “? ?? It’s all good down on Mockingbird Lane.”
