The lowest price is not always attached to the biggest promotional banner. During Kingbull’s Back-to-School Sale, two of the more interesting single-bike deals sit in the clearance section: the pink Discover ST 2.0 at $949 and the Trekker at $1,099. They are separated by $150, but that gap buys more than a different frame color or a slightly larger battery.
The pink Discover ST 2.0 is $170 cheaper than the eligible white version, which remains priced at $1,119. Aside from the color and promotional status, it retains the same step-through commuter design. The low frame makes repeated mounting easier when a route includes traffic lights, campus entrances, and several stops around town. A rear rack rated for 150 pounds gives a backpack or grocery bag somewhere to go besides the rider’s shoulders.
Its equipment is substantial for a $949 commuter. The Discover ST 2.0 uses a 750W Bafang hub motor, torque-sensing pedal assistance, a removable 720Wh Samsung battery, hydraulic brakes, and 26-by-4-inch tires. Kingbull claims up to 60 miles of range under ideal conditions, while the Class 2 setup limits top speed to 20 mph. At 77 pounds, it still needs sensible storage. The step-through frame makes it easier to get on the bike, not easier to carry it upstairs.
The Trekker costs another $150, with the additional money going toward several meaningful upgrades. Its 960Wh Samsung battery is the largest difference, and Kingbull claims up to 80 miles of range. The 750W Bafang motor works with a torque sensor, while the drivetrain gets eight speeds instead of seven. Four-piston Tektro hydraulic brakes are also a step above the two-piston systems commonly found in this price range.
Trekker keeps the step-through format but is built for heavier loads and longer trips. Kingbull rates it for a 450-pound total payload, and its aluminum rear rack can carry up to 150 pounds. The 26-inch Kenda fat tires and adjustable suspension fork suit damaged pavement as well as occasional gravel. None of this makes the bike light: it weighs 79 pounds and stretches nearly 79 inches from end to end. A garage or secure ground-floor storage area will make ownership considerably easier. As part of the TW series, Trekker also includes a complimentary large saddle during the campaign.
The choice between the two is fairly practical. The pink Discover ST 2.0 makes sense for someone who wants an accessible frame, a 20 mph commuter setup, and the lowest possible single-bike price. Trekker brings a larger battery, higher payload capacity, eight-speed gearing, and upgraded brakes. A short campus commute may never use those advantages fully. Someone riding farther or carrying more weight has a better reason to spend the additional $150.
Now for the fine print: neither clearance model participates in Buy 2 Save $150. The pair promotion applies to eligible campaign bikes, so shoppers should not add another $150 reduction when calculating the price of the pink Discover ST 2.0 or Trekker. This matters most for households building a two-bike order. A single-bike buyer can judge each clearance price on its own.
At $949, the pink Discover ST 2.0 is the easier bargain to understand. It delivers a well-equipped step-through commuter for less than $1,000. Trekker is the more interesting deal for riders who will actually use its 960Wh battery, four-piston brakes, and higher carrying capacity. Paying $150 more for specifications that sit unused would not be much of a bargain, but for a longer or heavier-duty commute, those upgrades make a convincing case. Kingbull’s Back-to-School Sale ends September 3.
