There’s a new trailer for Scary Movie 6! The film brings back the original “core four” from the flagship films. Anna Faris is back as Cindy, Regina Hall as Brenda, Marlon Wayans as Shorty, and Shawn Wayans is back as Ray. And from the looks of the trailer they’re back for another round of crazy horror satire.
This edition of the franchise takes a stab at some of the most recent horror flicks. Films like Scream, Smile, Terrifier, The Substance are all touched on in the trailer. Starting out with a M3GAN reference before unmasking her and seeing that it’s Ghostface. The story is that we’re catching up with the gang 26 years later as they once again find themselves in the crosshairs of Ghostface.
I guess it goes without saying that the Scary Movie franchise has always been full of uncouth and generally bad (but always funny) jokes. But this new trailer for Scary Movie 6 takes the cake when it comes to things we’re *Not Supposed* to joke about. Things like pronouns, gay shit and republicans being racist are prominent throughout the trailer. And while yes, objectively they ARE funny, the movie may not be for everyone. Especially not these days. However if you’re ready to laugh at the obscurity of what’s going on in the world today, buckle up and grab your popcorn bucket.
