US Visa Guide for Pakistan & UAE

I’ve sat with hundreds of people like you — uncles wanting to visit family, software guys chasing H1B Visa, business owners dreaming E2 — and seen what actually works (and what gets refused flat).

2026 is rough, okay? Trump came back, signed Proclamation 10998 in December 2025, kicked in January 1. It hits 39 countries hard — Pakistan is one of them — mostly security stuff, extra checks, some full bans on certain visas for a few places but not all. Then January 21 they paused immigrant visas (green card path) for like 75 countries including Pakistan because of “public charge” risk — meaning they think too many might use welfare. But listen carefully: non-immigrant visas? Still going. B1/B2 interviews happening, E2 approvals coming, H1B lottery just ran for FY2027, L1A moving. People from Karachi and Islamabad are getting stamps right now. Just gotta be extra clean and strong case.

Our office in Lahore (and Dubai partner spot) sees this daily. Let’s break it down simple.

B1/B2 – The Visitor/Business Visa Everyone Wants First

    What’s it for, really?

B1 = business meetings, conferences, trade shows, negotiate deals.

B2 = holiday, family visit, doctor checkup, short course.

Usually they give combo B1/B2 — one stamp, both allowed.

    Pakistan vs UAE people

    Pakistan passport: Most apply this.

UAE nationals: Some skip visa if Visa Waiver eligible, but rare — most do B1/B2.

If you’re Pakistani in Dubai/Abu Dhabi: Use your Pakistan passport, same rules.

Papers that actually help (not just list, real ones)

    • Job letter on company paper — salary, position, boss saying “back in 3 weeks”
    • Last 6 months bank statements — show you got money for trip, no begging in US
    • Property papers, NICOP, family pics, kids school fee receipts — prove “I have life here”
    • Clear plan: hotel booking, return ticket, if family visit then relative’s invite + their US status copy

Don’t fake anything — they check social media, everything.

Wait times right now (Feb 2026)

    From State Dept site:

    • Abu Dhabi: Around 14 months for B1/B2 (longest mess)
    • Dubai: 9–10 months ish
    • Islamabad/Karachi: 6–8 months average

Book fast yaar, slots fill quick. Sometimes they drop extra on Fridays.

Interview day tips from guys who passed

Dress normal — shirt pant, no suit like groom.

Answer short: “Going Chicago for tech conference, back to my job in Lahore.”

If they ask “why US?”: Tell truth, show ties.

Refused under 214(b)? Common first time. Fix ties (more job proof, property), apply again — second try often wins.

E2 Visa – Invest & Live in US (Best for Pakistanis)

    Quick what & who

E2 Visa = treaty investor. Put real money in US business, run it, live there. Renewable forever if business okay. Spouse work, kids school free almost.

UAE citizens: No, UAE not treaty country.

Pakistan: Yes! Treaty since 1961, still strong.

Money part – no fixed number but…

No minimum law says, but real talk:

Under $100k — tough, almost never.

$100k–$150k — possible if small business, strong plan.

$150k+ — much better shot, like franchise or proper startup.

Must be “at risk” — spent or committed, not sitting in bank. Create jobs for Americans, you control 50%+.

    How it goes

Set up US company, move money (prove source clean), business plan showing growth.

DS-160, interview in Islamabad/Karachi or Dubai/Abu Dhabi if you’re there.

    Takes 8–16 months usually.

We’ve helped guys open coffee shops, IT consultancies in Texas — works when real, not scam schemes.

H1B – The Job Visa for Tech & Pros

Sponsored by US company for specialty job (needs degree).

Big change 2026: No more pure random lottery. Weighted now — higher salary = more chances.

Level IV wage (high pay, like $150k+) gets 4x entries, Level III 3x, etc.

Registration was March for FY2027 — if your boss registered you, fingers crossed.

Pakistan extra checks but doable. Employer files, you interview later.

L1A Visa – Boss Transfer Visa

For managers/execs in multinational company moving to US branch.

1 year experience in last 3 as boss level.

No cap, no lottery — fastest for qualified.

Many UAE/Pakistan companies use this L1A Visa.

    Family comes, spouse can work.

Last Advice – Don’t Do Alone

Waits long, fees $185–$315+, rejections hurt but fixable.

Policies tight for Pakistan but non-immigrant still open.

Come to ApplyUSAVisas.com — Lahore office easy drop-in. We’ll look your case free first, tell straight chances, weak spots. No fake hope.

Message us yaar. Let’s get your visa sorted.
