Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes‘ upcoming biopic film(s) about The Beatles isn’t due to hit theaters til next year, but excitement is high. Perhaps that has to do with the high-profile nature of the subject matter, or maybe it’s the casting of four of the hottest young actors.
Paul Mescal (“Hamnet,” “Gladiator II“) plays Paul McCarney, Barry Keoghan (“Saltburn,” “Banshees of Inisherin“) plays Ringo Starr, Joseph Quinn (“Fantastic Four“) plays George Harrison, and Harris Dickinson (“Babygirl,” “The Iron Claw“) plays John Lennon. We just got our official first look at the lads as….well, the lads.

There will be four films, each focusing on one individual band member.
The cast also includes Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, Ana Sawai as Yoko Ono, and Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd. James Norton will play the 5th Beatle, band manager Brian Epstein.
Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, and Jack Thorne wrote the four films.
While we don’t know in what order they’ll hit, we do know the release is set for April 7th, 2028.
