Ophthalmic Solution Breakthroughs: What the New Presbyopia Treatment Means

Do you have blurry near sight and want to reduce your reliance on reading glasses?

Or are you tired of wearing multi-focal contact lenses that impact your far vision, are expensive, and irritate your eyes?

If so, you should know about a new solution that can help improve age-related near sighted blurriness–also called presbyopia–quickly and easily. This solution called VIZZ involves just a once-daily eye drop that can start working in less than half an hour and last all day.

Here is what you need to know about the new ophthalmic solution that could mean the end of your dependency on glasses on contacts.

What is the New Presbyopia Treatment?

The new presbyopia treatment is an ophthalmic solution that involves once-daily drops of a liquid that utilizes aceclidine to gently constrict the pupil and create a pinhole effect that lets you better focus on near tasks like reading or working on your computer.

Who Can Use the New Presbyopia Treatment?

Anyone who is suffering from age-related presbyopia can use the ophthalmic solution of eye drops. This includes adults who have had LASIK or cataract surgery in the past and those who currently wear multifocal contact lenses or glasses. If you do wear contacts, remove them before using the eye drops. You can put them back in after 10 minutes if needed. If you are currently using another eye medicine, make sure you wait five minutes between applying that and your drops for presbyopia.

The only people who should avoid using these drops are people with a history of detached retina or other retina problems, who have a current eye inflammation, or who plan to drive at night as the drops can cause a temporary dimming of vision.

What are the Benefits of the New Presbyopia Treatment?

There are many benefits to using the new ophthalmic solution of eye drops. They include:

    • Convenience. Making sure you always have your reading glasses on you or relying on contacts that are irritating and expensive can be annoying. Putting drops in your eyes once a day and then being able to see close-up for ten hours is a very convenient alternative.
    • Safety. Drops like VIZZ are FDA-approved and use an ingredient that gently constricts your pupils without targeting other eye muscles. The only recorded side effects are mild and include headache, irritation, and a temporary dimming of vision.
    • Fast-acting. Whether you decide to use this ophthalmic solution on a daily basis or you only want to use the drops for certain occasions, you’ll know your near distance blurriness will be clear just 30 minutes after using the drops.
    • Effectiveness. 91% of those who tried the new VIZZ ophthalmic solution saw their near vision improve in just 30 minutes.

Is This Ophthalmic Solution Right for You?

If you’re tired of putting on reading glasses every time you need to work or read something or you want to enhance or replace your contacts for presbyopia, you should consider using the new ophthalmic solution of eye drops. Talk to your eye doctor about the possibility of a prescription to determine if you are a good candidate.
