Radiohead Announces First Tour in 7 Years

When it comes to experimental alternative rock, there are very few bands that have the critical and commercial clout as Radiohead. The English rockers have routinely pushed the boundaries of modern rock since the release of their debut album, “Pablo Honey” in 1993. Frontman Thom Yorke and his bandmates haven’t been extremely active lately, but that’s set to change later this year. Not to be outdone by Oasis reuniting, Radiohead will hit the road again to tour the UK and Europe.

Radiohead hasn’t toured in 7 years. A few of those years can be easily chalked up to the COVID-19 pandemic, but while many other groups have resumed touring, Radiohead has been more radio silent. And while United States fans are still going to be missing out for a while, European fans will have close to a month to take in the sounds of “Paranoid Android,” “I Might Be Wrong,” “Knives Out,” and a variety of other classic tracks. The tour starts on November 4th and features a fairly atypical schedule.

Instead of doing a variety of dates across a bunch of venues, the group will be doing repeated shows at only a few locations:

November 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th, and the Movistar Arena in Madrid

    November 21st, 22nd, 24th, and 25th at the O2 in London.

December 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th, at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen

December 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th, at the Uber Arena in Berlin.

As of the time of this writing there are no plans for further dates but maybe that will change. If you’re interested and plan to be in Europe, you need to register for the ticket sales through radiohead.com. Registration is only open from Friday September 5th through Sunday, September 7th. Tickets go on sale a few days later on September 12th for those who successfully registered. Happy ticket hunting!
