The release of “Helldivers 2” is just around the corner and Microsoft just dropped some really cool news about the game. This Xbox Series X|S title will have a Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond, a new collection of equipment that may look familiar. In game, ODST stands for “Obedient Democracy Support Troopers” and this new collection is inspired by those storied heroes. Giving players the opportunity to become the best-of-the-best. Of the best.
The Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond includes four weapons, two armor sets, and two capes.
Weapons
- MA5C Assault Rifle – This iconic rifle is the definition of reliable, having taken down countless aliens bent on wiping out humanity. It comes equipped with a convenient ammo counter and a built-in compass to guide you to victory.
- M7S SMG – This silent and deadly bit of weaponry comes complete with caseless ammo and a non-removable suppressor.
- M90A Shotgun – This is a powerful shotgun that kicks like crazy and has a flashlight mounted on it so you can see the fear in your enemies’ eyes.
- M6C/SOCOM Pistol – A standard-issue ODST sidearm but it is your silent ally in the field. It comes equipped with a built-in laser sight, flashlight, and, for the first time in “Helldivers 2,” a suppressor to support stealth gameplay. Just incase you need to support liberty…quitely.
Armor
- A-9 Helljumper – This armor debuted during the New Mombasa Armor Show. It is a sleek ensemble that is sure to turn heads and blow minds.
- A-35 Recon – Made famous by the Ministry of Intelligence’s hide-and-seek-and-destroy champion of ’52, this armor has been improved by removing excess shoulder protection.
- Feet First Armor Passive – Applied to both the above armor sets, this passive allows your Helldiver Helljumper to make less noise when moving. They also become immune to leg injuries, and increase their range of discovering points of interest by 30%.
Capes:
- Honored Heirloom Cape –If the person wearing this cape dies, it is customary to pass it on to their bravest child during the funeral. Hoping to inspire the next generation to take up arms.
- Eye of the Clandestine Cape – Those who serve Liberty from the shadows often elect to stay anonymous, moving like traceless spectres through the night. May they watch over us always.
The Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond will also include ODST-themed player cards, the new player title “Rookie”, and a new vehicle pattern in a Mean Green color.
While Warbonds are old hat in the “Helldivers” universe, Legendary Warbonds are a new tier in the game. They can be unlocked for 1,500 Super Credits but not with the newly introduced Premium Warbond Tokens.
