President Trump Will “Look” at Deporting Elon Musk

The bizarre battle between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk continues. On June 30th, Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to once again voice his displeasure with the current president. Trump has now fired back, saying that he will “look” at deporting the South African-born businessman. As well as using the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a team that Musk ran until recently, to investigate him.

“It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!,” Musk posted. “Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people. How can you call yourself the Freedom Caucus if you vote for a DEBT SLAVERY bill with the biggest debt ceiling increase in history?” (Politically, “pork” refers to government spending that benefits a specific interest group or local area.)

He also threatened to fund primary challengers of any Republican who voted for the bill “if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.”

On July 1st, Trump took to Truth Social to claim that Musk was acting out due to his new bill eliminating the electric vehicle (EV) mandate. Given his position as the CEO of Tesla, “Elon would have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa,” he wrote.

“He should’ve known I wouldn’t do that, I couldn’t do that,” Trump told ABC News about the EV mandate a few days later. “I campaigned on those things for two years. I never understand why he did what he did, but he’s not going to get his mandate, and he better be careful, because he might not get anything else. You know what that means, right?”

    Deporting Musk?

When reporters asked about Musk’s comments on July 1st, Trump said his administration will “have to take a look” at deporting Musk.

Which is odd, considering the whole point of DOGE was allegedly to cut wasteful spending in government. So, shouldn’t the person who was in charge of that be critical of government spending? It’s almost like all of the rampant deportation and ICE raids aren’t about national security at all…

Trump went on to threaten Musk with, “We might have to put DOGE on Elon.”

“So tempting to escalate this. So, so tempting. But I will refrain for now,” Musk taunted on X.

And Trump shot back, “If DOGE looks at Musk, we’re going to save a fortune,” during a stop in Florida. (A TERRIFYING implication considering the government position that Musk just held, at the behest of Trump!)

Since then, the remarks have degenerated into your standard passive-aggressive sharing of memes. This is after the two former friends kept their feud at bay for two and a half weeks. The argument before the truce was basically the same thing: Musk criticizing the bill while insinuating he got the president into office, and Trump saying he is mad over EV mandates.

Only time will tell how this will all end. You can read Musk’s post below:
