April 22nd, 2025 was a pretty big day for fans of the Elder Scrolls series. The franchise hasn’t seen a mainline release since 2011 with “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.” Sure, there was that announcement of “Elder Scrolls VI” back several years ago, but we haven’t heard anything about it since. What was being heard around corners of the internet though were rumors of a remastering of “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.” It was the internet’s worst kept secret over the last couple months and it was confirmed and released on the same day. Which also makes it a good day to be reminded that the Goddess Lynda Carter did voice acting for the game!

When it comes to the pantheon of amazing women in media, Lynda Carter is right up there. This is Wonder Woman herself we’re talking about here. Carter played the legendary superhero in the 1970’s television show and has popped up in various films and series over the years. What you might not know is that she has also been a mainstay in Bethesda games for decades now, especially in Elder Scrolls.

With the release of the remaster for “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion,” Carter took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her work from the game.

Cool! If you didn't know… all of the female orcs and nords are voiced by me! https://t.co/v5sTqQVoZt

And yes, not only is the release of “Oblivion” pretty damn cool, but so is Wonder Woman being the voice of the female nords and orcs. She’s also had a recurring role as the voice of Azura in several different Elder Scrolls games and voiced Magnolia in one of Bethesda’s other properties, “Fallout 4.” The presence of Lynda Carter basically makes everything better, something fans of the franchise found out when Carter gave a shout out to her new followers.

Thanks for all of the new followers 🥰
As for the other universe… remember to watch out for Fallout Season 2 on Prime!

“The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion” remaster is available now on most every major platform outside of the Nintendo Switch. It was remade in Unreal Engine 5 and has been updated to include all the original DLC in addition to fixes to the UI and leveling system, amongst other updates. Come for the overhaul, stay for Lynda Carter.
