Baccarat Variations: Must Try Variants in Online Casino

It seems like the classic game of baccarat will never run out of things to offer on the table. And the most exciting thing about this is when it comes to their game variation. Once you choose to bet on baccarat it comes along with other exciting variants to add something new to your gameplay.

Perhaps, you’re not that familiar with them, if so, you don’t have to worry because this article got your back! Today, you can experience the best online baccarat Singapore at your fingertips with fresh twists and exciting casino adventures.

What is the General Rules of Baccarat

Since we’re going to explore the different types of variations in baccarat, it’s important to go first to the basics and understand the basic rules of the game and how it works. For starters, punters have three options: to either bet on the bankers, players or tie. The main goal of the game is to bet on the hand that will have the highest value closest to nine.

Generally, the most ideal and advantageous type of bet among all is the banker’s hand. It’s statistically the best,  considering its 1.06% house edge. This is much better than the Player bet, and while a small commission (usually 5%) is paid on Banker wins, the overall return is still typically better in the long term. The Tie bet, although providing a siren’s call higher payoff, has much less chance of occurrence, not to mention a high house edge of 14%.

All that to say, the game of Baccarat (บาคาร่า) simply works by placing your bet, the cards being dealt, and the winner will be determined based on the bet that has the highest value close to nine. It’s straightforward and appealing at the same time.

    Most Popular Baccarat Variations

Online baccarat might seem like a simple game, but in reality, it is exciting. Especially when you try live baccarat online Singapore, where you can bet on the game in real-time and have more authentic gameplay. To get started, here are the most popular variations of baccarat you can consider.

    Punto Banco

This is perhaps the most popular type of Baccarat, commonly referred to as simply “Baccarat.”  You will encounter this variation more often either at a brick-and-mortar casino or the online casino world.  In Punto Banco, there are predetermined drawing rules, and the players cannot determine whether or not a third card is drawn. The result of the game is completely decided by the initial hand values and these predetermined rules; therefore it is a certain game of chance.

    Chemin de Fer

Unlike Punto Banco, players have the option to determine if a third card should be taken when they are in the bank. There is some element of skill and strategy involved, as players need to attempt to read what their opponent is going to do. Chemin de Fer is more commonly found in European casinos, but its popularity is increasing online.

    Baccarat Banque

Like Chemin de Fer in that one player will bank, this form places the banker in position for an extended period of time, typically until the shoe is exhausted. It produces long and strategic sessions since players now have more time to plan their strategy.

    Dragon Tiger

A simplified version of baccarat, Dragon Tiger has only two cards: one for the Dragon and one for the Tiger. Players wager on which card will be higher, so it is a fast and simple game with immediate results.

    Sexy Baccarat

This is not a rules variation but an aesthetic style.  Sexy Baccarat, commonly used in live dealer casinos, has attractive dealers who deal in the game. It provides a visual entertainment factor to the standard Baccarat game and is highly sought after in online casinos.

    Mini Baccarat

It’s commonly played at lower tables with smaller numbers of players, so it’s more inviting and less intimidating for beginners.  The rules are the same as Punto Banco, but the faster game and lower table limits make it an excellent choice for new players of Baccarat.

Which Baccarat Variants Should You Choose

With plenty of baccarat options in the market, it’s totally normal to get confused and have a hard time choosing which variant to try—especially if your decision is generally based on the best variations. In the end, the best online baccarat variant still varies from one player to another.

For instance, if you’re looking for the one that has the lowest house edge, if so, then Punto Baccarat is the way to go! Considering its 98.4% RTP percentage. Followed by No Commission Baccarat and Baccarat Squeeze.

On the other hand, if you want a simple and easy-to-follow kind of baccarat, Dragon Tiger and again, Punto Banco are the ideal ones. But if you’re a pro and want to take your gameplay to the next level, Chemin de Fer might be the perfect for you. In this one, the players can become the bankers and can put a wager that others can bet against.

    FAQs

Why do so many Asians play baccarat?

The popularity of baccarat in Asia, particularly Singapore can be attributed to numerous reasons but it can be broken down into their belief in luck, superstitions, and cultural familiarity. And it is perfectly combined with the simple yet sophisticated nature of the game that makes it even more appealing to countless bettors.

    Is baccarat purely luck?

Generally, baccarat online can be considered as a game of chance. Unlike other casino games like poker, where skill is a significant factor, baccarat is the opposite. Luck plays a big part in winning every game. But then again, that doesn’t necessarily mean that when betting you don’t have to opt for the best strategy because it can still somehow help you to better your odds.

How to win at Baccarat online?

If you want to win at Singapore baccarat online, the key is to bet on the banker. This is the best way that you can opt for if you want to minimize the house edge (or simply the advantage the casino has over the player). It only has a 1.06% house edge, which is way lower compared to players’ bet and tie bet which has 1.24% and 14.36% respectively.
