Are you ready for more killer AI doll horror? Because we know we are! Everyone’s favorite high-tech killing machine M3GAN is back in the teaser trailer for “M3GAN 2.0!” The 44-second clip shows off her killer TikTok dances to Chappell Roan‘s “Femininomenon.”

The teaser even made its debut at the Grammys right before Roan’s performance of “Pink Pony Club.”

In 2023, “M3GAN” hit the screen and took horror fans by storm. The film follows Cady (Violet McGraw), a young girl who recently lost her parents in a car crash. She ends up staying with her aunt Gemma (Allison Williams), a roboticist who isn’t thrilled to have a kid crash into her life. At the same time, Gemma’s job is in danger if she doesn’t make progress on a child-sized robot designed as a companion for kids named Model 3 Generative Android (M3GAN). However, once she does have a breakthrough the AI almost immediately starts breaking Isaac Asimov‘s Three Laws of Robotics. Namely the whole bit about not harming humans.

“M3GAN” was directed by Gerard Johnstone from a script by James Wan and Akela Cooper. It grossed $181 million off an original IP, which is almost unheard of in the modern horror landscape. (Though the added success of the “Terrifer” franchise and “Longlegs” may be signaling a new wave).

Johnstone will be returning to the director’s chair for “2.0” from a script by Cooper. The story will take place two years after the events seen in the first film. Stars Williams and McGraw are already confirmed to be reprising their roles.

“M3GAN 2.0” will hit theaters on June 27th. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the movie as it develops. You can check out the first teaser trailer below:
