This morning, Netflix teased their upcoming slate of movies, tv shows, and other special offerings. The main highlights for us, in no particular order, including the following:

“Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery“

    Rian Johnson

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, the 3rd Benoit Blanc tale will star Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church. It’ll be hitting the streamer sometime in the fall of 2025.

“Squid Game” 3rd and Final Season

The final season of hit international series “Squid Game” will hit June 27th.

    “Happy Gilmore 2“

Adam Sandler will again swing a golf club in this sequel no one really asked for. Julie Bowen returns as Virginia Venit, and so does Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin. The film will also star Bad Bunny, Margaret Qualley (“The Substance” ), Nick Swardson, Travis Kelce, Scott Mescudi (aka rapper Kid Cudi), and Benny Safdie (who directed “Uncut Gems“). “Happy Gilmore 2” will hit sometime later this year.

    “Wednesday” season 2

The highly anticipated second season of Tim Burton‘s “Wednesday” returns this year, with Jenna Ortega in the lead role. The cast also includes Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Joanna Lumley, Christopher Lloyd, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Fred Armisen, Thandiwe Newton, Victor Dorobantu, Billie Piper, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Isaac Ordonez, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, Frances O’Connor, Joonas Suotamo, Jamie McShane, and more.

    Guillermo del Toro’s “Frankenstein“

Oscar-winning filmmaker Guillermo del Toro‘s take on Mary Shelly‘s gothic horror classic “Frankenstein” is finally happening, and we wouldn’t be more excited. It stars Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz. It’ll hit in November.

    “The Old Guard 2“

Charlize Theron returns as Andy of Scythia in “The Old Guard 2“. It will release July 2nd.

The Old Guard 2 premieres JULY 2.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
