The mid to late 90s were one heck of a time for female led movies about magic and witches. In 1996 you had “The Craft,” in 1998 you had the television series, “Charmed” and the cult classic film, “Practical Magic.” The former two have had follow ups in the form of a sequel film and a series reboot.
The tale of the Owens family is not finished, as we have an update for the project, and who’s directing it.

Emmy and Oscar winner Susanne Bier is in talks to direct “Practical Magic 2″ for Warner Bros. Pictures. The film is reportedly bringing back Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as Sally and Gillian Owens, respectively. The original film’s writer Akiva Goldsman is apparently penning the script.
We’ll let you know what else we hear about this and other news.
