It’s a rare day with the Devourer or Worlds himself shares some cool things from the set of “Fantastic Four.” Ralph Ineson (“The VVitch,” “Game of Thrones“) will be portraying the great Galactus in Matt Shakman‘s (“WandaVision“) upcoming film. Obviously this is exciting for numerous reasons. This will be the First Family of Comics’ official debut in Marvel Studios‘ Cinematic Universe (MCU). The cast alone is cause for celebration. And from what we’ve seen so far, the production design is absolutely perfect.
Ineson took to X (formerly Twitter) to share some things, like one of the wrap gifts from Marvel. That is indeed a Galactus bottle opener that really looks like you could do some serious damage with it as a weapon.
But the thing we were the most excited by was this patch. Why?
Because it looks like a real NASA mission patch!
Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us“) will play Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (“The Crown,” “Mission: Impossible“) is Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things,” “Gladiator II“) is Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear“) is Ben Grimm/The Thing.
Julia Garner (“Ozark,” “The Americans“) is playing Shalla Bal/The Silver Surfer. Paul Walter Hauser (“Blackbird“) was also added to the cast, but his role is also being kept underwraps. John Malkovich (“Billions,” “The New Look“) is playing an undisclosed role in the film, Ineson (“Game of Thrones,” “The VVitch“) will be the Devourer of Worlds himself- Galactus.
Synopsis
“Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world…Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, The Fantastic Four must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”
We are absolutely IN for the retro-futurism of 1960s and space travel as the backdrop for this film.
“Fantastic Four: First Steps” is due in theaters July 25th, 2025. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
