You may choose to store a lot of relevant personal data, work files, and study materials on your computer. The security of all these files becomes extremely important, but sometimes you may encounter file loss that is caused by various reasons such as accidental deletion, virus attacks, system crashes, and so on.

Is It Possible to Recover Deleted Files on PC

Can you recover deleted files on PC? Whether they can be recovered depends on different situations. To improve the possibility of file recovery, you need to do some actions as follows.

    • You are expected to scan your device where your lost files were stored. For lost files, the earlier you recover them, the greater the possibility of recovery and the more complete the recovered files will be.
    • Do not put new data in the original location of lost files. After files are lost, the location will be marked as available to store new data. And as soon as new data is stored, the lost data will be overwritten. In that case, restoring files can be difficult.

How to Recover Deleted Files on PC

Method 1. Recover Deleted Files From the Recycle Bin

When you delete or lose files, they will be put into the Recycle Bin for a period of time. As long as you don’t empty the Recycle Bin, you can recover deleted files from Laptop. Work with the following steps to recover files from the Recycle Bin.

Step 1: Open your Recycle Bin by double-clicking it.

Step 2: Find your needed files, right-click on them, and choose Restore.

Method 2. Recover Deleted Files With MiniTool Power Data Recovery

Apart from the above method, you can also recover deleted files on PC using data recovery software. As a professional and robust recovery tool, MiniTool Power Data Recovery can help you recover permanently deleted files in Windows. It works well on various types of data recovery on Windows, such as accidental deletion recovery, virus-infected recovery, hard drive data recovery, etc.

It serves as the best solution for data loss from different devices such as USB, SD card, and other storage media. In addition, It is capable of restoring most types of files and supports scanning the specific folder.

You can download and install this software on MiniTool’s official site. After installing, follow the steps below to recover deleted files.

Step 1: Launch the free data recovery software. In the main interface, move your cursor to the drive where your files were stored and click on Scan.

Step 2: After the scanning ends, all files will be displayed by path. You need to find the wanted files. To save time, you can switch to the Type tab to locate the files. Also, the Filter and Search feature can be beneficial for you to find the files quickly.

Moreover, you can use the Preview feature to verify the files’ accuracy before saving. Choose the required files one by one and click on the Preview button each time.

Step 3: Tick all the needed file boxes and click on the Save button. In the new window, select a new location to store the recovered files and click on OK.

    Final Words

In a word, this post explains how to recover deleted files on PC with Recycle Bin and MiniTool Power Data Recovery. Hope this guide can do you a favor.
