Video games and junk food go together like peanut butter and jelly. So it should be no surprise international restaurant chain Pizza Hut wants to merge the two in an incredibly meta way. The company just announced the PIZZAWRMR, a 3D-printed contraption you can put on top of your PlayStation 5 (PS5) to ensure your pie stays nice and warm.
You want to know the best part? Pizza Hut is giving out the 3D printing source files for free! Anyone can download, modify, and print one of their very own.
Designing The PIZZAWRMR
The PIZZAWRMR design draws inspiration from the chain’s iconic red roof. The box sits atop your PS5 and opens with a hinged lid for quick pizza access while you game. It is even designed to hold multiple slices for all you couch co-op fans. (Or if you’re just really hungry, we don’t judge here.)
The 3D printer files include the body, left stand, lid, manifold, and suitable stand. While it is being marketed for the PS5 it can accommodate any console that has rear ventilation measuring 11.7 x 1.31 inches. It’s also recommended that your 3D printer bed should be at least 15 x 15 inches to accommodate the PIZZAWRMR.
For anyone, rightfully, wondering about the real risk of crumbs and grease in your ventilation system, Pizza Hut recommends inserting a 34 x 23 x 2.5cm foil tray inside the warmer.
Not The First
Some may recall KFC developing something similar in 2020. What started as a joke eventually snowballed into the KFConsole with a built-in chicken chamber. Proving once again that the power of the internet is a wondrously dangerous thing.
