“Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” Gets First Trailer

The next chapter in Disney+’s deep dive in to all things “Star Wars” is coming, and we’ve got our first official look at the series. “Skeleton Crew” has been a longtime in the making, having first been announced in February 2022, with a first look shown at Star Wars Celebration in London 2023. Various woes and production delays plagued the series, like many others.

The series stars Jude Law as Jod Na Nawood, Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Wim, Kyriana Kratter as KB, Robert Timothy Smith as Neel, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Fern.

What’s a new series set in a galaxy far, far away without a new droid? SM 33 will be voiced by Nick Frost.

“He’s like a rusty old, cranky droid that sort of reluctantly helps the kids along the way,” series co-creator John Watts said. “The other thing about him is that he’s the first mate of a mysterious ship.”

    The official synopsis reads:

“When four kids make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, they get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, meeting unlikely allies and enemies will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”

“Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” is set to hit Disney+ on December 3rd, 2024.

Get ready for a brand new Star Wars adventure.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
