    Paper Quality Options for Printing

The type of printer paper you choose can heavily impact the appearance of your final document. Whether you’re interested in art prints, business cards, or brochures, the right paper will keep your printed materials looking their best. Besides providing high-quality prints, the appropriate paper type will prevent wasted money. Here are paper quality options to choose for your printing project:

    Heavyweight Paper

The weight of printer paper influences the print’s appearance and how the page feels. A heavyweight paper is thick and usually referred to as cardstock. If you’re printing postcards, business cards, or invitation cards, heavyweight paper will deliver the quality you desire. Heavyweight paper is also used for gallery exhibits, making it a good option for high-quality art prints.

When choosing heavyweight paper, select the ideal weight and size that suits your final product. This printer paper is available in different weights (measured in pounds) and sizes. Consulting with a printing expert will help you select the right heavyweight paper for your project. If the paper is too thick for the printer, it can result in blurred images, scratching on the page, and paper jams.

    Vinyl Paper

Printable vinyl is another quality paper businesses choose for their printing projects. Vinyl print paper features an adhesive or paper backing and is available in different finishes, including matte and glossy. The printable side provides a surface for printing vibrant designs using laser or inkjet printers. If you want to print high-quality stickers for your business, a vinyl paper is the way to go.

Vinyl papers can either be printable vinyl or printable sticker papers. Both work in printers to produce stickers for your marketing strategy. The difference is that a printable vinyl sticker has an adhesive backing for sticking to surfaces. This type of vinyl paper is more durable and can be a perfect choice for outdoor projects. If you want to remove a printed decal without leaving a glue residue, choose a printable vinyl sheet.

    Label Paper

Premium label paper is the most commonly used print paper in the labeling industry. It maintains its quality and durability during printing and adhesive processes. If you want to use print labels for your business’s products, choose water- and chemical-resistant options. This will prevent the labels from falling off when they come into contact with water or chemicals.

There are a variety of label papers you can choose from for your printing projects — white paper, colored, and fluorescent paper labels. These papers feature a face stock and an adhesive backing. The face stock provides a surface for printing while the adhesive backing sticks your labels to surfaces. You can use these print papers to create labels for food and beverage products, medications, and domestic appliances.

    Specialty Paper

Specialty paper is a high-end, fine paper used for invitations, stationery, and paper crafts. Specialty paper is also a great choice when it comes to packaging materials, including food and cosmetics. Unlike ordinary print papers, specialty paper has unique colors, textures, and finishes. Its unique properties will help enhance your packaging’s aesthetic appeal and functionality.

Businesses use specialty paper to print quality business cards, brochures, invitation cards, or graphic design projects. This paper is prized for resisting tears and moisture, keeping your packed products safe and secure. A printing expert will customize your specialty paper to create unique looks that make your products stand out.

Choosing the Right Paper Quality for Printing

When selecting print papers for your documents, think about their intended use. Think about the documents you want to print and how you want them to appear. Some print papers are ideal for packaging, professional photography, creating invitation cards, and more. Regardless of the project, review the features of each print paper to choose the right option. Contact a premier printing company today to help you select the appropriate paper and print high-quality documents.
