Director Eli Roth‘s feature film adaptation of Gearbox’s highly popular “Borderlands” game series is coming, and Lionsgate is gearing up for the release. We’d already seen the main cast get character posters, but what about everyone else?
The film stars Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Jack Black as Claptrap, Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Tannis, Kevin Hart as “Borderlands 2” character Roland (described as a skilled ex-soldier turned mercenary), Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu as Krieg, and Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina. Roth directs from a script by Craig Mazin (“Chernobyl,” “The Last of Us“) the Lionsgate release. We do know that Pitchford confirmed this film would NOT be “identical” to the existing in-game universe, which is interesting. He’s been teasing all kinds of BTS goodies, and promises lots of easter eggs for fans. (He even did a trailer breakdown with IGN, which you can watch here.)
