Julian Fellowes is bringing audiences back to Downton Abbey for a third film from Focus Features. The news was announced this morning, with footage of the cast gathering for what looks to be a table read.
The cast for the third film will include series stars Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Phyllis Logan, Robert James-Collier, Joanne Froggatt, Allen Leech, Penelope Wilton, Lesley Nicol, Michael Fox, Raquel Cassidy, Brendan Coyle, Kevin Doyle, Harry Hadden-Paton, Sophie McShera, and Douglas Reith. We’ll also be seeing Paul Giamatti, Joely Richardson, Alessandro Nivola, Simon Russell Beale, Arty Froushan, and “many other fan favorites.”
As production is just starting, there is no expected release date yet. Nor is there an official title other than “Downton Abbey 3.” We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
