Sony Pictures’ upcoming film “Fly Me to the Moon” has released its official trailer. The cast sports an impressive list of Hollywood A-listers, with Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum leading the ensemble. They’ll be joined by Nick Dillenburg, Anna Garcia, Jim Rash, Noah Robbins, Colin Woodell, Christian Zuber, and Donald Elise Watkins. The cast also includes special appearances from Ray Romano and Woody Harrelson.
Set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing. Brought in to fix NASA’s public image, sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones (Johansson) wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’s (Tatum) already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as back-up and the countdown truly begins.
So, you know- a good companion piece to Apple TV+’s “For All Mankind.”
Greg Berlanti directs, from a script by Rose Gilroy. Berlanti is known for his work on both movies and television, especially with The CW‘s DC-verse. The origins of the story can be traced back to the creative minds of Bill Kirstein and Keenan Flynn.
