    This just in-

yet another big question for Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Fantastic Four“ film has been answered. We know who will be playing the Herald of Galactus, the Silver Surfer.

According to all the usual suspects, Emmy winner Julia Garner (“The Americans,” “Ozark“) will be taking on the role of Shalla-Bal, one of the Marvel Comics versions of the Silver Surfer. Technically, Shalla-Bal is the wife of  Norrin Radd, the og Silver Surfer. Shalla-Bal and Norrin end up BOTH possessing the power of the Herald due to some cosmic meddling by the High Evolutionary.

(Yes, we know this is Juno Silver Surfer, but SHE JUST LOOKS SO COOL)

She’ll be joined in the live-action feature film by Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us“), Vanessa Kirby (“The Crown“), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear“), and Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things“) are The Fantastic Four. Pascal will play Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic. Kirby will play Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman. Moss-Bachrach will play Ben Grimm/The Thing. Quinn will play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.

No word on a possible villain yet, but Shalla-Bal gives us some ideas.

Matt Shakman (“WandaVision“) directs from a script by Josh Friedman.

“Fantastic Four” will release on July 25th, 2025, which is a delay from it’s original date of May 2nd.

She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
